Providing online support for the GameSpy Arcade software requires a higher set of skills than those just used for online chatting. The following is a list of qualities and attributes we would like all of our online volunteers to possess when providing support in an online environment:
  1. Effective use of the GameSpy Arcade, GameSpy Comrade and the Windows Operating environment.
  2. The ability to explain step-by-step procedures, and express instructions in writing.
  3. Spelling and grammar proficiency.
  4. Online communication skills, knowledge of nettiquette do's and don'ts, qualities of common courtesy.
  5. The ability to multi-task.
  6. Technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to explain technical problems to others for diagnosis and solution.
  7. Effective internet searching skills.
  8. The capacity to derive satisfaction from helping others.
  9. A commitment to continuous learning and motivation to improve skills in all areas of support.
  10. A good working knowledge of some of Arcade's and Comrade's supported online games.
  11. The ability to display maturity, professionalism and patience in all situations.

If you want to become a helper - help out in the game rooms regularly as well as on the GameSpy Arcade Forums. You have to prove yourself before being invited to join the team - be VISIBLE! Only do not get in the way of the current [HELP]ers trying to do their job.
